Leicester's former All Black back-row forward Craig Newby was cleared on Tuesday to play in the English Premiership final against Saracens at Twickenham on Saturday after a citing for a dangerous tackle was dismissed.
The 30-year-old, who played three Tests off the bench for the All Blacks between 2004 to 2006, appeared before a Rugby Football Union (RFU) disciplinary hearing panel on Tuesday after being reported for his tackle on South Africa's World Cup winning fly-half Butch James in the 15-6 win against Bath on May 16.
However, the three man panel cleared him of any wrongdoing and he looks certain to start in the climax to the Premiership season.
